Dade County ArtConnect is growing fast—and we need your help to keep that momentum going.
We’re looking for community-minded folks who want to take on a more involved volunteer role. These aren’t one-time tasks—we’re looking for people who can dedicate a little time each week to help run things behind the scenes. If you love being part of something creative, collaborative, and meaningful, this might be for you.
Here’s a look at the volunteer roles we’re hoping to fill:
🎨 Class & Teacher Coordinator (Currently Open)
Responsibilities:
- Schedule and coordinate classes
- Communicate with teachers and enrolled students
- Track class enrollments
- Maintain an up-to-date list of teacher bios and offerings
Skillsets Needed:
- Detail oriented
- Good with schedules and logistics
- Comfortable reaching out via email or text
- Friendly and organized communicator
🙌 Volunteer Coordinator (Currently Open)
Responsibilities:
- Keep a list of available volunteers
- Match volunteers to upcoming events, committees, and needs
- Send reminders and help clarify roles
- Track volunteer hours and engagement
Skillsets Needed:
- Friendly and approachable
- Organized and good at follow-up
- Able to motivate and delegate
- Loves working with people
🤝 Community Outreach Coordinator (Currently Open)
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain partnerships with schools, libraries, and local orgs
- Coordinate collaborative programming
- Represent DCA at community events
Skillsets Needed:
- Comfortable with public speaking or networking
- Good communication and follow-through
- Passionate about community building
- Strong local knowledge or willingness to connect
🖼️ Events & Fundraising Committee (Member-Led – Always Welcoming New Members)
Responsibilities:
- Plan and organize events (art shows, community nights, fundraisers)
- Coordinate logistics, supplies, volunteers, and timing
- Brainstorm and implement fundraising campaigns
- Collaborate with marketing and volunteer teams
- Track results and help improve future events
Skillsets Needed:
- Creative thinker with organizational follow-through
- Good with checklists and timelines
- Comfortable reaching out to sponsors or community partners
- Team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
🎭 Theater Committee (Member-Led – Always Welcoming New Members)
Responsibilities:
- Support theater productions through casting, sets, costumes, and more
- Help promote shows and grow our audience
- Assist with ticket sales, concessions, and show-day tasks
Ideal Traits:
- Love of the performing arts
- Reliable and flexible during production weeks
- Collaborative and willing to jump in where needed
🎓 Scholarship Committee (Currently Open)
Responsibilities:
- Help shape and review our youth and need-based scholarship programs
- Assist with application process and selection
- Ensure transparency and alignment with DCA’s mission
- Track how funds are used and collect feedback
Skillsets Needed:
- Discretion and fairness
- Organizational and record-keeping ability
- Strong written communication
- Collaborative mindset
🗳️ Nominations Committee (Member-Led – Seeking Participants)
Responsibilities:
- Identify and vet future board members
- Help oversee annual member voting
- Ensure diverse and effective leadership
Ideal Traits:
- Understanding of our mission and needs
- Discretion and fairness
- Insight into community leadership potential
