Dade County Community Theater – Production Info & Auditions
We’re thrilled to announce our next community theater production: Bedtime Stories (As Told by Our Dad) (Who Messed Them Up) by Ed Monk! This hilarious and heartwarming play is perfect for performers of all ages, featuring a fast-paced collection of classic fairy tales told through the wonderfully unreliable narration of a sleepy dad.
Whether you’re a seasoned actor or brand new to the stage, we’d love to see you get involved!

🎭 Audition Workshops
Want a sneak peek at the script and some tips before auditions? Join us at one of our free audition workshops:
- Saturday, May 3 at 2 PM
- Tuesday, May 6 at 6 PM
These casual sessions will include script reading, Q&A with the director, and a chance to meet other cast hopefuls. Open to all ages—no pressure, just fun!
📝 Auditions
- Monday, May 19 from 6–8 PM
- Tuesday, May 20 from 6–8 PM
Please prepare a 1-2 minute modern comedic monologue. If you need some inspiration, there are some choices attached in the audition packet.

🎬 Rehearsals
Rehearsals will begin the week following auditions, with a detailed schedule provided at the first read-through. Rehearsals will be multiple times per week, working around cast availability whenever possible.

- Thursday, July 26 at 7 PM
- Friday, July 27 at 7 PM
- Saturday, July 28 at 2 PM
