Fall is here, and October is packed with creative opportunities at DCA! From hands-on classes to free community events, there’s something for every age and skill level. Don’t forget—students under 18 can apply for a DCA Youth Scholarship so cost is never a barrier to creativity. Apply here.
Fall has been full of creativity and connection here at Dade County ArtConnect!
We kicked off the season with auditions for our winter comedy, “A Twisted Christmas Carol,” and we’re thrilled to welcome both familiar faces and brand-new talent to the stage. Rehearsals are already underway, and we can’t wait to share this hilarious holiday production with you later this year!
Our Witch Hat Felting Class was a big hit — students spent the afternoon shaping and shrinking their own custom hats just in time for spooky season. It was a blast watching everyone’s unique creations come to life (and shrink dramatically!).
Behind the scenes, we’re continuing to grow our arts outreach program, bringing creative classes to more corners of Dade County. Our goal is to make art accessible to everyone, no matter where they live. Keep an eye out for upcoming workshops in surrounding communities soon!
